Thanks all for the kind comments.

No Clicks, it was taken at dusk in that period when there is still some twilight.   I always carry a tabletop tripod which I used on top of the wall.  It needed several exposures - 3.0 secs at f18  ISO 250  with minus .67 exposure compensation- because it is surprising how many vehicles can appear in the space of 3 secs.   The exposure compensation helped the shadows but they still needed lifting in post and there were some bright lights in the town behind the castle that I have cloned out.

Aha  it was the absence of the lights  behind in the town  that had me foxed .... I really appreciate the information  though... I carry a little mini tripod in the car too but I really don't use it as often as I should ... It's a really smashing image ... you've done a very nice  job with it ... There's always so much to learn ... There doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day  to assimilate all the things I want to find the  time  for at the moment ... ... Must be the old codger syndrome .... <sodemoji.1f609></sodemoji.1f609>

That's the trouble with being retired.  Time just seems to go nowhere.
