unlike the previous two nights when the aurora was "visible" this one actually looked like it does in the photo.  this was a 5 sec exposure time over the lake at kleifervatn in iceland.  it was my last night in the country.

thanks johntwo.  it was great to see, especially after the first time seeing the aurora was a little bit of a let down.

would love to visit scotland someday.  didn't know you could see the aurora there, but makes sense.  everything around here that's far enough north to see the lights is too overcome by light pollution so it seems like you have to go much further north.

thanks!  it was pretty sweet.  all i had to do was point the camera and shoot.  it was pretty bright.
