All I've got, I'm afraid :4_joy:

(Still, it could have been worse - you could have chosen Napoleon... :1_grinning:)

I've looked up the number on Google : apparently, that's Sir Galahad, a troop carrier and 'landing ships logistics' vessel. She was used in the Falklands where she was attacked. One of the survivors was Guardsman Simon Weston, who suffered horrific burns, had to have his face totally rebuilt and you've probably seen on TV. After that war, her hulk was towed out to sea and sunk, and is now an officially designated war grave. (Photographed at Liverpool docks in 1974).

To far away from any to get a fresh one so one from the archives. The view of Table Mountain and the Cape Town dock area as we approached on our trip to Aus. in 1968, scanned from a slide taken at the time, don't know what that boat was:

One of the Central Mercantile Bank's lady crews on the River Yarra at lunchtime.

This is very close to my heart, as before emigrating I used to row on the Thames, very close to where Denis's Ferry entry was taken.

That is interesting. The yellow funnel was that of the company Royal Mail Line.

It seems some of us (I mean me!) need to go back and re-read the rules. To me, a boat is a boat!

I think maybe Kev mentioned  engines to include things like Jet ski's .... they travel on the water... Only  he  can tell us... as I agree .... a boat is a boat ....lol.. Over to you Kev ...did you mean  every boat  had to have an engine ?

I think I'd rather be in a boat with my "engine" than any of yours!

I think - from Kev's own post, and what he's posted often before - that he might have meant ships rather than boats, but widened it to "boats with engines" as some of us might not have any ship pictures? Luckily I did have one, and thanks to this competition I discovered it was the Sir Galahad!
