  1. Great shot Matt, takes me back to when I visited it when I was at college!!
  2. I will be back soon. I have had to take some time out in 'rest & recovery' mode, so have not been active at all. I would never walk away from this forum because you have all been my 'distant family' for ages!! Haven't been able to do any photography and I'll probably start again with things you have already seen, but I'll be here and enjoying browsing around the forum again.
  3. Congrats Fogey, great shot!!
  4. Well done Mono, something very different and good!!
  5. Beautiful scene of somewhere I have memories of, congrats Matt!
  6. Another one of your great shots Paul, well done!!
  7. Great set Strav, nice buildings, nice street art, nice reflective ceiling in #3, well done!
  8. Great colour in this one Rye, and a nice reflection of the guy climbing in on the side of the engine.
  9. Nice set Fuji, I do like your mono pictures, but it is nice to see some colour there to now!!
  10. Congrats Cheryl - great shot!! Nice choice Gareth.
  11. Lovely to watch Fogey, nice views, some dramatic skies and nice to see the cattle, the squirrel and the deer, the music suits the scenes very well too, well done!
  12. Congrats Fuji, great shot, and nice to see you doing this sort of thing again.
  13. Congrats Paul - a lovely set of a nice subject, I liked them all! Nice choice Rye.
  14. Was just washing up in the kitchen this morning when four Ibises wandered down the nature strip, and one of them decided to come in for a visit. Not perfect because I had to take the shot through the fly wire screen on the window. We did used to see these where we lived before, but nearly always down at the dam, but there is a large park near where I am now and there are almost always Ibises there and in the surroundings.
  15. Nice catch Cheryl, some of them do have lovely colour.
  16. Nice one Denis - right place, right time!
  17. Great set Paul - and what a nice surprise for you to see the Newt!!
  18. Fantastic set Colin, and very different to a 'normal' cathedral view!!

    Hello.

Welcome back John, good to see you.
  20. Congrats Cheryl, well done, lovely and 'different' image, very artistic!!! Nice choice Hatter.
  21. Superb catch Cheryl, well done.
  22. Have not see any sort of lizard on my new property since I moved here, and I do miss seeing them. Went outside to sit in the garden with K&B and spotted something near my door bell. Had phone in hand so went closer and saw it was a Skink, sort of hidden behind my door bell. I touched it's tail and it moved forward a bit, so got another shot. Touched the tail again and it moved up under the eaves. A few minutes later it was back down and I had just topped up K&B's water pot so I had an ice cream container. I placed it in front of the Skink and it moved forward into the container and lapped up several drops of water as I moved it to a safe and shady spot in a garden bed. Not full shots, but it was nice to see.
  23. Great that I can get out and drive again so I have started going to some of our usual spots. Did the longest drive since before my operation on Thursday and went to Grantville beach. it was low tide time, and the beach was a bit messy, but K&B enjoyed the different sniffs. Unfortunately I couldn't get down there with them because the sand path had eroded and left a steep drop, so I just enjoyed the blue sky and the view. Then this morning we did another drive to a new spot which they found very interesting and took advantage of the easy access to the river water! A couple of quite hot days so very useful. Will keep doing what I can ]
