I went to Boarding School not far from there ... Climbed Cader Idris   when I was 12 with my class from school , saw the lake  from the top and went back to Tywyn from Abergynolwyn on the  Tal Y Llyn Railway.... of course most of the regular trains were steam trains then anyway . Gosh ....suddenly feel  like a lot has happened  since then !!

I often wonder whether those days were better than what we have today.

I think the passing of time often colours our perception of the reality of the past  and can sometimes distort  our memory , but like most generations , the older we get, there is often an element of  how much “better “” things were  in the “old days “.    It seems that every era  in History has elements to be proud of as well as elements to be ashamed of . Progress I suppose is hopefully not making the same mistake twice .... ...

Technology wise I think we're ahead by a country mile;  however did we manage without the Internet, but for the rest, I think I'd prefer the gentler way of life we had then.
This current pandemic is just a reflection of the insanity we live in - if we were meant to fly we would've had wings.
