Reflecting Merseyside Architecture

My  first trip to  Liverpool ( why  it has taken  nearly 70 years  I'll never know ) was really enjoyable ... I just loved the wide open spaces on the Waterfront and Pierhead and the Albert Docks .

The modern buildings sit surprisingly well with the old classic Victorian and Edwardian architecture ...The  modern  building is the Museum of Liverpool Life .

I really like this, it's been many years since I went to Liverpool even though my family has connections with the city. Let me know when you next fancy a visit and I'll meet you there - we could even get Korky to come along as well... as long as it doen't rain like it did in Buxton....................

Thanks Rye  ... I was  really pleased  with the three days spent in Liverpool . ... The Waterfront and Albert Docks were really interesting with some great photo opportunities. Yeah ... A  summers day out at probably short notice when we can guarantee the next days weather   will be worth looking at ... heaven forbid another trip like Buxton ... arghhhh ..

It's on my doorstep and yet I never go there.  It is much photographed but this is one of the most original comps I've seen for some time.  I like it very much.  Were the two figures deliberate because they add enormously?  The buses really don't matter.  That's Liverpool.  Great shot.

Thanks John for the positive comment on this ... I  was pleased with this view ... I’d like to think the architect had  anticipated this when the building was designed... it surely isn’t just a coincidence that you get two views of these gorgeous buildings ...

I've missed this one completely.

What's become your signature processing suits this image perfectly - and it's an absolute belter of a composition. Yes, the buses could've been kinder, but what the hell, it still does the business.

A meet in Liverpool? Now yer talkin'.

Thanks Dee , Strav, Fooj and Korks .... your kind words are appreciated ....  I hope a meet could materialise later in the year in the area ... there is a station on James street next to the hotel we stayed at that is virtually five minutes walk from the Waterfront and the Three Graces ..  food for thought  then ...
