Ya know........

There's a magnificent yacht moored in Preston Marina that I built over a period of four years. Do they call me Korky the Boatbuilder? NO!

There's a superb figure that's made of solid bronze in Chorley Park. Took me over five years to craft that one. Do they call me Korky the Sculptor? NO!

But ya sniff one bloody strap!

Das Korkenmeister

And seeing as how I'm here........ this is how ye shall recognise me. Left lapel.

OK - who is going to be there that will have Skype access on some phone, tablet or whatever? Didn't even get to say hello to Rye last year and only saw Denis in the background. I know the place was not very good sound-wise, but can we try again. Don't care what time is best for you who are out there, I will fit in if it can be done.

Ok Gang  ... I will be booking tables for 8-10 for 1.30-2.00 pm  at the Four teas tea room  next week,  for the 10th June unless  people would prefer  to take pot luck on us getting somewhere  to accomodate a random 8-10 people on a buzy Saturday in a tourist popular place . If we are meeting there in the morning   for  tea/coffeee we could even plan our lunchmeus  for later in the  day .... A walk around for those who feel like it , a trip to Fooj's friend on the market  and a long leisurely  lunch  to have time to enjoy the " craic"  as the Irish say . Al those in favour ...say Aye ...

Last minute deciders  also welcome mind you ..

Anyone do Skype on their phones ...looks like Dee wants to virtually  join us :phone:

Polly I linked in with Phil on last year's day out, but I didn't want to pressure him to do it again and just asked  in case anybody else on the day out has it available. I'm perfectly happy to 'talk through the Phil connection' if he is happy to give it a go again.

As far as `I know, Denis has kindly offered to transport me on his way through......I just need him to firm up arrangements....

No worries if he doesn't I can catch the first bus after 09:00 it take an hour and a half because of the stupid revised rout that wanders between villages and estates...it used to take 40 minutes....grrrrrrr!

Whichever way, I will be joining you if all goes to plan.

Keep your eyes out for the scruffy old cove with a camera, a packet of newspaper wrapped sandwiches and bottle of cold tea.

Last night, I had a very vivid dream about our meet.

I arrived first, followed by Fooj and then who should make an appearance but Roger Moore and Tony Curtis. I had a right ol' natter with Tony and we discussed Sean Connery.

I think my medication is just a tad too strong!

For you folks who will be arriving in Stratford prior to our....Big Day Out....be aware that the Women's Cycle race/tour is due through our part of the world I think, on the 9th....it came through for the first time last year.......

At least 90 motorcycle outriders and safety marshals, police escorts, escort, team and support vehicles, TV and media teams, plus crowds lining the route.....look up last years Aviva version to see what to expect.....

Details of this years route can be found on line.

My God, Fooj - in my condition, the last thing I need to see is four thousand women cyclists in skin-tight Lycra!

However, if you need to visit me in Stratford Royal Infimary, I can't stand grapes and I bloody hate Lucozade!
