Nice, 257 squadron I have seen that a few times over the years, one of my favorite engines. What did the Class 50 look like in colour Geoff?
-
Yes it does look a bit bleak in the first shot, but the others make up for that one.
-
Very good series there,
-
No 1 looks very atmospheric with the light from the window.
-
It's A great shot well done
-
Good capture of the colours in the folige.
-
#1 really good shot, good use of a big stopper. I can't help wondering what #2 would look like as B & W though.

Had a little break to Exeter last month and ended up in Teignmouth and took a few using the Lee Filters Polarizer and little Stopper, to give some swirl to the sea. There are steps down to the beach from the sea wall and low down on one of these with my Benbo tripod set low and cable release, as the exposures are around 1-2 seconds.

I can't help but think what that must have been like to work the footplate in the winter with no real weather protection apart from the front shield. Good pictures though.

This is a strange one for me, as if it was a painting I can see the appeal, but as a photo not so sure. Perhaps printed on canvas it would appeal more to me. Good job we all like differing things and don't conform to the norm, what ever that is?
-
Yes was please to see it and to actually get a couple of photos was really good pleasing. Just brought a 150-600 zoom so that came into good use although a bit heavy for hand holding there was no time to put the tripod up.

Went to Fleet Pond last weekend. Early morning when we were walking around looking for suitable photo opportunities we heard very close to us a woodpecker in the trees but could not see it. A bit later around the other side of the pond we hear it again and looking up he was right above us. Need the 600mm lenses and he is still small in the pic. First time in 56 years that we both have every seen one.

Good photo, if you could crop out/remove the 4 wheel drive on the right would improve it no end.

Had a few days away last year to the Bristol area, here's a selection from a outing around the SS Great Britain. Brunel's Design Office Engine Room
-
Some very good shots there.
-
great shots, really like the afterburner heat distortion ones the best.

Not be able to post for a while, had a stupidly busy last few months, as the Contract I managed at work demobilized on the 28th Feb this year and have now moved to a different role, with the same company. So haven't done much photography or even just processing the ones already taken.

The lower angle of view works well in those photographs. Good that you can get out and about.
-
Good Shots Geoff, Although I think a small crop on the last on to remove the car would improve it no end.
-
Not sure which of these I prefer...

My preference is #2 -
They look really good, well done for getting up early to capture these.

That green spider must be quite small, good spot.
