  1. Very good, glad you are getting out and about.
  2. I always thought that Cannon were one step ahead of Nikon in the professional camera range and Nikon always were playing catch up. Not so sure nowadays with mirrorless though.
  3. I think the first one is very slightly spoiled by seeing the modern vehicles in the background. Otherwise all 3 are very good, and could have been taken in any year. If memory serves me correct and it was a number of years ago probably 25+ now, SNG was down at The Watercress line Mid-Hants Railway and we stood next to it, I remember pointing out 112mph plaque on the engine showing that it was the fastest loco for a time, to our son who was probably around 6-7 at the time.
  4. Hi Pete, welcome and looking forward to your photos
  5. hi Rhoda welcome looking forward to seeing your photos
  6. This was the views we woke up to on the very first morning in Norway after 2 days at sea. Skjoden is at the end of the longestand deepest Fjord in Norway at around 200Km For the first taste of Norway it is stunning.these shots were taken in the morning with the mist still around. It's a shame we only had one day here as part of the cruise. We did a scenic heights tour where we went from sea level to 1100m high and still the mountain ranges went up, will put up another post with those ones.
  7. Like the low angle approach to this shot.
  8. Thank you Geoff. It is always something special to see a 50Ton WW2 tank in operation. It was parked on the high ground so I didn't have to edit/crop out all the heads below! Also helped by using my 150-600mm Tamron lens and monopod.
  9. It's a very interesting day out the museum has very good displays from right from the very beginning of the tank up to the Challenger 1. Also it is only about 16 miles to Swanage, and Weymouth is quite close to in the other direction
  10. Yes Colin it is. They have a 3 day Tank Fest and 2 Tigerdays in the year. Went to Tankfest last year,1 day only, but didn't take the camera. Tank Fest includes the Army so has demo of modern equipment.
  11. On Saturday we went for a family outing to Tigerday at the Tank Museum, mainly as it is one of the 2 times a year, which they run the Tiger 131, which is the only working Tiger 1 in the world. Fury also got to make an appearance.
  12. Good set, which bring out the joy people get from being part of the steam scene.
  13. There is some really good shots there especially as handheld, High ISO number to bring the shutter speed to something sensible for hand holding?
