  1. Wow, they're stunning Paul. Any idea what the insect is?
  2. Love the colours of these. And that sky in image 2 is breathtaking! The first shot reminds me a bit of this one that I took earlier this year:
  3. I haven't really got my head around stacking yet: I downloaded a program called Sequator but I haven't had great results with it so far...
  4. These photos were with the Samyang 12mm F2 lens; I think I had it wide open. ISO was 1000, and 15 second exposure. On flickr, Denis (who said he was ex-TIPF) suggested 3200 ISO and 25 second exposure. One of the guys from a photo group I'm in here in Southend does a lot of astro photography and his shots are usually based on a stack of 100-200 photos. I didn't have time for that the other night!
  5. They certainly were! But yes, that cloud at the lower right came across a lot faster and further than I thought it would. This is the last shot from the 20 I took: And literally a couple of minutes after I brought my camera indoors, it started to rain, so it worked out nicely really!
  6. ...but the clouds came in and scuppered that plan. This was the first shot, and I really like how it came out. 15 second exposure, Samyang 12mm f/2.0 lens.
  7. Never seen this thread before… spent a very enjoyable few minutes looking through it last night, although it seems like most of the pictures on it are well out of date now! Here’s me… just a random phone pic that I found in my camera roll… not sure why I was looking so grumpy!
  8. Guilty as charged! Cool photo though
  9. Yep - I had an X-T20 which, due to lockdown and finances I had to sell along with the lenses I'd accrued and I've missed it pretty much every day since. I love the way the cameras look, the colour treatments, just everything. I've enjoyed using my bridge camera, and the FZ2000 in particular taught me a lot about photography, but I'm *very* glad to be back
  10. Absolutely loving being back on Fujifilm, so I went out for a wander the other day. I picked up a Samyang 12mm F/2 lens from MPB too, and I really like it, but I think I might need to practice a lot with it. I got a few shots that are pin-sharp, but I got a few that were spectacularly out of focus, too
  11. Added the camera to this today as well, if anyone's interested
  12. I love that photo! The slight angle makes it, for me - and the fact that you caught yourself in it too is an excellent bonus I quite fancy having a go at some street photography, and now that I have a smaller camera I think it might be time to give it a try.
  13. Thanks everyone! @colinb it's a great day out; there's absolutely loads there to see. Only problem from a photography point of view is sometimes it's so squashed in together that sometimes I found it hard to find a composition.
  14. I took my mum to Duxford for the day yesterday, as it was her birthday. Coincidentally, I'd scored a bargain on a Fujifilm X-T30 with the 18-55mm lens on Sunday, so it was the ideal chance to have a play with it! Absolutely loving it so far; it's just a lovely thing, and made me realise how much I missed my old X-T20. Apart from resizing and a little bit of cropping, these are SOOC, no colour correction or anything. I really love the Velvia filter
  15. Not gonna lie, that makes my palms go a little clammy... O_o Great shot though!
  16. Really like that, but I see what you mean about the street light. If you could get a shot from a bit further back so that it wasn't so huge in relation to the buildings, and it was a little bit dark so the light was on, that might look cool too.
  17. I'm really pleased with this photo: I'd seen the spot a few times while walking my dog, and thought it would make a good shot. Last night I went back with my camera and tripod, and managed to capture it exactly as I'd imagined.
  18. Genuinely can't make a decision on that! I love the colour version, scrolled down and instantly thought "Ooh, no I definitely prefer the colour one", scrolled back up and thought "Ooh, no actually I prefer the mono". They're both fab!
  19. Had an hour to kill while I waited for my wife, so I thought I'd have a wander round. Didn't get much that I was happy with, although I like these four - especially the orange lamp one, which is SOOC
  20. Very nice! I take photos of my guitars from time to time, but these are better. They work well in b&w don’t they?
  21. Fantastic shots! Love the Tornado
  22. I'm doing a sponsored walk in Ipswich next month, in aid of Alzheimers Research. If any of you feel like throwing a couple of quid in I'd be very grateful :) https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/kerry-mountain
  23. It took me a while to spot the hedgehog, mainly because at first I didn't look at the stairs because they looked too big.
  24. I tried setting one of those up in my garden once... I got a lovely photo of my dog having a poo!
  25. Lovely photo! I never think to do things like this!
