Owl and Raptor Studio Shoot
skullfunkerry replied to Andyandhazel's topic in Nature, Wildlife and Pets
Lovely shots! I did a falconry day with my family for my mum's 70th birthday and got a few shots that I was really pleased with; it's never even occurred to me to look into a studio shoot, that's a great idea. -
I really like these. I haven't had a chance to get out and take any blossom shots this year.

Fantastic shot! Definitely need to get myself to the mach loop at some point this year

A while back a few people from a camera group that I'm in met up to do some astro stuff because there was an early moonset and it would be good for the milky way. One of the guys took his telescope; I helped him carry it. The tripod was like a huge bag of scaffolding, it weighed an absolute ton! I'm surprised anyone moves them out of their garden

Fantastic shots!

It's amazing isn't it? I mean, they look so fragile you could almost say that about flying around in a house and then making it down the garden, never mind all the way from Africa! Lovely shots, John.

Lovely shot. I can almost smell the sea air

This little guy was on my patio yesterday morning. Fujifilm X-T4 and XF 100-400mm; I’ve included a behind-the-scenes shot from my wife too

Beautiful

Nicely caught!

At the park with my stepdaughter yesterday and it's really starting to feel like winter is over, at last! There was a chap there flying his macaw, too. Absolutely stunning bird Fujifilm X-T4 & XF 35mm F1.4.

Nicely caught. I saw one once, when I was testing my 100-400. Didn't get as good a shot as that though

The challenges of shooting into the sun

Fuji X-T4, ISO 160, F/4, 1/800sec. Dropped the shadows & bumped up the black point in Affinity to hide the background. Love the way it came out

Cracking shot, love the moody sky

Thanks Polly! I love the thought that they designed the plane, and realised that it looked like a beluga whale, so painted a mouth & eyes on and properly owned it

I've never seen anything like that before. Is there any chance that there was enough breeze for the flowers to be in slightly different positions in some shots? And the ghosting is like an artefact from where there's a mix of green & white in lower layers?
-
Oh wow, I didn't know such a thing existed! Do you have any photos that you can share, of the cameras themselves, or that you took with them?
-
(Just in case anyone was wondering, this is of course an April Fool's joke)

Nicely caught! I saw one at RIAT a couple of years ago, it's quite a machine. I found out recently that one of my friends works for Airbus, so I'm going to see if there's any way of getting access for some photos

I’m not left-handed, but I’m still impressed: ”X-T1 was originally released in 2014 to celebrate Fujifilm’s 80th anniversary. It would go on to lead a mirrorless camera revolution. Almost a decade and five generations later, Fujifilm’s latest imaging technology brought us the X-T5, bringing photographers unrivalled image quality in a timeless, classic, and beloved camera body. Now Fujifilm is innovating again: featuring the same 40MP sensor and standard X-mount, X-T5L will cater to those left-handed among us who still want the premium APS-C experience but have always struggled with right-handed cameras”

Lovely colours on that!

NOT QUITE A STILL LIFE !
skullfunkerry replied to FUJI's topic in Open / Abstract / Random Image Forum
Thanks Fuji. Yes, I know it's cheating but I do like that shot (and in my defence, I don't know the girls in the window) I did see about your diagnosis, yes. Very sorry about that; I hope you get your kidney diet sorted and that you can keep getting out and about. -
