POTW week ending 25/05/14

Whilst I have been out of the country for the last week I have still tried my best to keep looking in and viewing the usual batch of superb photography and this week there has, once again, been a wide variety of images and photographs. My own personal choice for the POTW has to be ‘another of my portraits’ by pauln.

I think this picture shows, with a little effort and skill on the photographers part, what can be can achieved shooting in a zoo through glass. Whilst the purist might argue ‘captive’ animals are easy to take pictures of, Pauls’ processing of his image has taken this picture well beyond the usual ‘snaps’ I’m sure we have all shot whilst visiting these places and something to treasure.

An amazing portrait, beautifully observed in the first place, but superbly processed to achieve this amazing result.

A well deserved win.

Pauln has impressed me so much, I have returned to the Zoo shots I took at Twycross Zoo last autumn.

Thanks Paul.
