Hi all,

Happy New Year to all.
I'm new to this forum and is my first photography forum I signed up though I started photography 2 years ago. It's great to see such a large community of photographers in Uk.

Since I'm new and now getting to know the threads and forum rules, while I don't want to offend anyone, I'm asking here, how/where should I post a announcement of selling my gear - I have APS-C sensor camera and want to upgrade to a FF, hence reason for selling and thought that there might be someone interested in it.
However, though I'm in the special offers, I want to know where should I go to post the details on the gear I have and is at sale.

Also, would like to know where can I ask some of you experienced photographers about which HDR software you use and which one you recommend - what's the best place for that?

Thank you in advanced.
Kind regards, Stan Photography.

Hi Stan

Welcome to the boards

You could ask in  "Technical stuff" under "Image software" about hdr

The for sale bit is "General Forums* under "gear for sale" but there is a minimum of 30 posts before you are allowed to advertise

Looking  forward to seeing some of your images

HI and Welcome. It seems like yesterday that I joined the forum, but in a few months it will be coming up to two year and have had so much fun with the people on here as well as help when I've needed it.
It doesn't matter how long you have been doing photography we are all accepted as we are, and I'm sure you will enjoy it too.

Go to the main index and scroll down and you will find "Gear for Sale". click on that and start a new topic.

Whoops! I forgot it was in General forums. Thanks Fuzzy, you know what my memory is like.

Welcome Stan.

Just one thing about HDR - it isn't! What you're calling HDR is actually "tone mapping" and Photoshop will do that for you, though there is special software too. Genuine HDR is actually just an intelligent form of exposure that tries to get detail in both highlight and shadow areas. On my camera it's called "Intelligent Exposure", possibly because the term HDR was hijacked by tone mappers a few years ago.

Hi All,

To be honest, after seeing the response which is welcoming, just want to say thank you for that. Definitely this forum is the right place to be.

Thank you ChrisLumix as well. Once, I get to the right thread/theme>topic will add the reason why I ask about this and I'm sure photographers such nice as you are, will help me out with best way to take.

Cheers,

btw, I'm from Surrey county for the Uk community and nice to hear/meet the Australian ones too.

Regards, Stan Photography.
