The 52 Project 2017 - Week 03

We manage to get out for a stroll this afternoon and found something new to us on the Harthill Reservoirs, a Pond Yacht Regatta. It was a One-Design race and the only distiguishing features were the colours of the hulls and the identification numbers.

The boats were about 1metre length overall and this is just a tiny part of the flotilla.

Alas I can't contribute to the casserole, and I've already done a Robin and Train on the ELR. I found these shoes on the pavement outside my house when I went out for a bottle of wine, which gave me an idea.... I'm glad it was a fairly lousy day up on Pendle Hill and there was no one about or I might have got some strange looks wandering around with a pair of ladies shoes.....

Well, the casserole didn't quite get off the ground, but another splendid turnout anyways. Anyone seen Monsieur Philippe?

Top kudos has to go to the Ryewolf for the most surreal photo I've ever seen on TIPF - Killer heels and molehills on a misty day on Pendle. Bloody hell, Rye,that must've been some bottle of wine you nipped out for!

Also, a small dollop of kudos for Herr Lumix. A rough and bubbled-over fish pie always looks so much better with a small sprig of green stuck in the top

Week 4 will follow shortly.

Kumala Red actually, nowt special. To be honest, all I was thinking initially was "How do you lose a pair of shoes?" But then I thought, maybe coming home a little worse for wear, not steady on the feet - ditch the shoes and walk home. I had planned to put them in the bin, but thought where would you least likely see a pair of shoes like this.. Pendle Hill, of course. Oddly enough, the day I was up there taking this image, a couple pf people got lost up there and had to be rescued by Mountain Rescue. It's very easy to get get disorientated up there if the mists come down. I was only 60ft away from the road over the Nick O' Pendle and I couldn't see it and I know the area there quite well.
