POTW w/e 09/07/17

POTW -  I almost chose 'City Gent' by Geoff for having the cheek to ask for a picture.

Then sanity returned and I thought this picture by Stravinsky shows the benefits of getting out there just before sunset. A pleasing shot showing off his favourite city which makes me curious regarding the polluting smoke from the chimneys on the barges and how this fits in with modern planning laws?

Whoops! I forgot to comment upon this pic in the original post.....it oozes atmosphere, an almost romantic glow, to what I know as a pretty dark place.

I have to be dragged kicking and screaming into Birmingham or anywhere in the Back country....yet I spent two years Teacher training in Wolverhsmpton and Willenhall and then Crewe as three month placements....dislike the places....LOVE the people.
