After a torrential downpour, I nipped out with the Macro lens to see if there was anything worth photographing. I tried hand held, stacked macros without much success, so the first one is on a tripod......... This one was hand held.................. This last was again on a tripod.

I took the Macro lens out for the first time this year, inspired by Paul's amazing Macros. Harrumph! The spider was shade less than the size of a match head and she was busy building/repairing her web. How she managed that is totally beyond me as she was being blown about in the wind like nobody's business. For her size, it must have been like being in a force 12 gale. For me it was a gentle breeze, which made keeping her in the focal plane nigh on impossible. The fly was being shy in the Beech hedge................

And what is the size of the full stop on your keyboard?

I'm lost for words.............................Ummmmmmm! ...............................I hate you!!!!! -

Very clever - I like it.

You can see why they chose New Zealand to film The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings.

Thank you Paul.

Exactly Fuji. If I had a photograph slated by a camera club judge, I would know it was above average. -
What a landscape that is - simply stunning............. and well taken to boot.

I agree with fooj - that is the shot of a lifetime. And that is why I don't belong to a camera club. When the so called judges see a good grab shot like that, they'll make up any puerile excuse to denigrate it. -
How to canoodle on water. Lovely shot.

You stick with photographing wildlife - that is one cracking image. In my time, I've fallen in a river, a lake, numerous ponds, my wife, bless her, stopped me walking off a cliff and walking in front of a car - each and every time I had my eye glued to the lens trying to get 'that moment'; so welcome to the club. Well done on saving your camera.

It has no shame, has it? Lovely set, Paul.

When I saw the potential scene I had to wait until the stag was positioned in the right place. I had the idea of using the stag as a lead-in line to bring the viewer's eye to the distant woodland.

Puts me in mind of The Hobbit, when they left the Shires. Great shot and well spotted.

Moody, dramatic, good composition with strong lead-in lines, cracking depth of field with a sky to die for .......and then there are those sun rays .........What's not to like? This should be hanging on your wall, Cheryl.

Well done, Polly. It had POTW all over it.

............Sort of. This lockdown is providing a lot of ideas for idle hands. A means of advertising the site while we are out and about....................a sort of business card, provided as a PDF that can be downloaded, with a page that has multiple business cards, based on the image below, that can be printed out at each members leisure and handed out to those that show an interest. Thoughts?

Hell's teeth, Paul! How do you get such clarity? .................. more to the point how do you manage to spot such a tiny subject? -
A very telling post, Polly - thank you. Reading that has made me angrier at my brother than I was. He is one on those conspiracy theorists who believe Coronavirus is no more than a common flu caused by the 5G roll out and all the reported Covid deaths are no more than fake news. A more selfish, ungrateful person I have yet to meet, as he really does take the biscuit. Your post has restored a sense of balance and I too, am counting my blessings - I just want to get back to normal, while I still have the wherewithal to enjoy normality.
