  1. Lovely shots, great light and colour you caught, my favourite number 2
  2. .... and an assortment of shots taken around the time of the Commonwealth Games
  3. Its actually mostly steel, scrap metal. But there are parts of it that are sprayed foam, and theres a lot of electronics within as well as a 20ton truck. Although they were going to dismantle it on 10 August its now had a stay of execution and will stay where it is until September. Its drawing huge crowds. They are now discussing a possible indoor area for it to be displayed, although to be honest its so big I think they might struggle
  4. Thanks, the whole thing was supposed to illustrate Birminghams grimy industrial past. Chain making was a big thing back in the day, and of course the bulls tail is a chain and anchor ... and I believe an anchor for the Titanic was made in the West Midlands
  5. Nice set, reminds me of our short summer days
  6. If I point my camera at my cat she turns around and ignores me whatever I try to bribe her with
  7. Well this is how close you get to them and its pretty scary even with a fence
  8. I wasnt sure where to put these, but if you watched the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games last night then you might recognise whats sitting in the middle of Birmingham right now
  9. Very nice Paul, I probably wouldnt have the patience
  10. A bit of a departure from my normal photography but here are the initial results of a visit to the Big Cat Sanctuary in Kent
  11. Most certainly ..... eventually
  12. Nice set ... take care with insurance on the electric bike because apparently anything that can propel itself without your help has different implications .... only found this out when I was looking at these electric scotters that are everywhere now - cycling must be one of the best forms of exercise, I'm still doing it now when I can, especially as we've moved to the countryside
  13. Great set, no 3 my favourite, although its similar to no 1 the composition is slightly different
  14. The waters just right imho
  15. You're right, its obviously a totally different perspective - what kind of camera does it use?
  16. Nice one. I'm considering getting a drone once we've moved. I have a friend who has lost one already, although he also lost a radio controlled plane as it went to high and he lost contact
  17. In the midst of the continuing mayhem that is my house move and whilst I struggle to understand why professional solicitors are such a waste of space, we managed a short break to Lagos in Portugal. To be honest the situation has lead me to lose the will to take photographs, but during the week I went out on the cloudiest day to take some random shots. Rest of the week was 30 - 33 degrees and far to hot for togging
