  1. I agree with other's comments on the first image: an interesting image and better for the lines removed. The second image feels a bit cluttered.
  2. Ive been crazy busy lately so have only just seen this POTW. A beautiful landscape. Well done, Fogey.
  3. So many photos to choose from this week which is great to see. Here in Australia we are coming out of a very wet winter so its lovely to see all the photos from the other side of world where its been summer. I'm choosing one of Mark's still life as photos of the week. I appreciate the skills in the set up, the lighting, and the processing of the image/s. There's humour there too....
  4. agree. I prefer the simplicity of this photo.
  5. Great capture, Paul. I think your theory about mistaking the plastic flower for a real one is probably right. A strong visual cue. The smell would be way off though....
  6. Great set,Paul and thank you for the explanation.
  7. Love these, Paul. Beautiful colours in the apples and the wasps compliment the overall effect. What a great looking insect.
  8. Oh dear, that's a horrible thought! Great photos, as always,Paul. they eat decaying plant matter, I assume.
  9. I like these photos in the black and white with the last one my preferred composition.
  10. A dramatic landscape, Fogey, that you've captured well. I like the composition.
  11. An interesting photo especially in mono. Im curious about the history of the pearl. Where was the mural?
  12. That's a striking looking creature - looks very prehistoric. Great photo capturing the detail.
  13. interesting composition with the leading lines of the brick wall lead to the church at the end.
  14. Thank you for the explanation, Ryewolf. I can see how the water tank is like a saddle. All great photos.
  15. I have no idea about the ID but you've taken some sharp photos of this creature, John. no doubt Paul or Ryewolf will confirm the identity. The last one against the yellow flower is my favorite.
  16. Interesting photos, Paul. Life’s so fascinating and your photos capture it for us. Love it.
  17. Super sharp photos, Paul.congratulations on a new critter. You must be enjoying the hot summer as I imagine it’s good for insects and other tiny creatures.
  18. Amazing display. Great photos, Colin.
  19. Wow. It would have been marvellous to be there. Lots of colour & so much to admire about the athletes.
  20. Great set, Stravinsky. All different but beautiful in its own way. #3 has lovely balance of warm and cool colours and great composition. And lovely mood in #6.
  21. We have a newcomer to the TIPF who posted some photos of locomotives and their environs. The set called Didcot Railway Centre includes some different perspectives of the trains as well as some shots of textures and infrastructure. I'm choosing one of these for Pic of the Week (see below). It has a great composition with the leading lines and the mono processing suits the subject. Well done and welcome, Andyandhazel. Or can we call you Andy? You can see the original post via the link below https://www.tipf.co.uk/forums/topic/55816-didcot-railway-centre/#comment-242575
