Finding old files is fortunate sometimes ...
Denis replied to Clicker's topic in Urban and Architecture
Must have been a surprise for you Clicks, I lost all of my RAW files on the drive that packed up and only have the processed versions, not too bothered as most were downright awful anyway. In that respect I put the past behind me and a new SSD stores all the RAW now. -
Smoke from a large bonfire Cheryl

The i phones do have amazing cameras, but I only have my cheap chinese android . Looking at these the quality does look very good!

Not planting anything at the moment aparently Cheryl, that field was mole ploughed prior to this normal plough to drain excess water away. For the second year running there will be no winter planting, but wait until spring for cultivation.

Late plowing continues at the farm...The water tower on the horizon is 11 miles away and the faint tall structure immediately to the left of it is Stansted Airport's control tower, a further mile thereabouts.

I personally think no2 is an exceptional shot, you would be hard pressed to achieve any better Geoff!

It is considering there is no roof on the cab James! but when you look close it is not clean at all.

Without a closer look Geoff, and since the badges are missing it is a 1960's BMC made lorry , either a Morris FFK or its Austin equivalent. What is it doing there? well, a convenient stand for that gravity fed red diesel tank for a start

Had a wander around our local woods today, Hospital Wood, Risdens and Latton woods were once part of the great forest of Waltham and date back some 900 years. They contain mostly Ash, Birch and Hornbeam, which in itself was a much favoured wood. The name comes from Horn meaning hard, and Beam, a old english name for trees. Historically these trees were Britain's most prized source of hardwood, used to make tools, coach wheels and gear pegs in traditional windmills. Hawthorn and Blackthorn bushes line the edges of the woods , So just a few images from todays walk

Denis replied to Paul's topic in Close Up and Macro
I love my wide angle Tokina 11-16mm Paul, although It will not do macro, but great for landscapes. Another nice set in the bag for you eh? -
Magnificent Paul, love your spider photos...I must be weird but I think they are quite cute creatures
