Hello to all,

I'm another new member and looking forward to spending some time on here to see what's going on and learn some new things.

I currently work around the Colchester area in Essex, but actually live in Fife in Scotland.

I have a DSLR camera and an old 35mm SLR too, and to be honest I'm quite keen to get to know my film camera more than the digital.

So look forward to seeing where things develop from here.

ChrisLumix, Its a Praktica BMS and I have a roll of Kodak Colorplus 200 film at present that come with it. It was a Christmas present from my in-laws which was nice.

 

Oh I remember the Prakticas well - they and the Zeniths were all the SLR some of us could afford, being impoverished post-students! But they all had surprisingly good lenses : not perhaps the finest resolution but they made up for it with great contrast. Solid metal clunkers though, you knew one when you hefted it.

Wow thanks all, I can see I'm going to like being part of this group :-)

I'm taking my old Praktica up to Scotland with me tomorrow for a long weekend so hopefully be able to take some nice snaps. It won't be quite so easy to post on here, and with a 36 exp film might take a while to get through too!

Welcome, I'm currently messing with an old Chinon CM4s (I got it for my 18th - or 21st, a loooong time ago)

 

Poundland currently sell the Agfa Vista plus 200 film, reasonable to play with :-)

Will hope to be pleasant surprised with Film Shots again, I would say I still use film, but my B&W Ilford film has been in camera for nearly a year.....

 

Getting scared to see the results, as too used to digital..  where I know I'm Pants lol
