My First Day out with the Camera

These were all shot at the local park last Saturday with the 55-300 lens.
I couldn't walk around the narrow path round the pond due to me knee not being 100% yet, but it was good to get the camera in my hands properly and shoot from the decking..
They are brilliant, but I thoroughly enjoyed myself trying to get somee shots.
All were taken from quite a distance so was pleased that some were usable.

Thanks Annie. I had the Raynox in my bag, but just couldn't get near enough to try it on that lens.

I think it's a Water Boatman, Annie aand I was maybe 6-9ft away from it.

There are three ways to get to this park and all up a very steep hill, so we walked down the road to the bus stop and hopped on the bus for a couple of stops, and we were in luck on the way back as there was a bus just coming in.
We took the dog, so didn't stay very long as it turned very hot, but at least I got my hand in again.

Thanks everyone. It's good to be back and also to at last have soomething to post lol.
I had all these plans to do so Macro in the house and garden while I couldn't get out much but they all flew out of the window when it came to it.

Thanks, for the ID on the little one, Paul. I wondered what it was.
