Thanks Polly. I am going to try extending the floor in front of the light areas. Seems to me they take the eye out of the frame. Thoughts?

If you can extend  into shadow  beyond the  two panes  at the bottom of the pic  it  would  give  a  foundation to the  image and  make the  light from the window  a leading line into the  pic rather than  out  of it...I agree  it   would resolve that ... Alternatively  it might just require reducing the contrast  on the  light from the window a tad  on the  bottom two panes in the pic . I suspect if you have cropped it and have  the floor to utilise , the former might be the best option ... Be interesting to see ...

 I have just noticed that as my background  to the posts on TIPF uses the dark mode and is virtually the same tone as the  floor , the light at the  bottom   isn't that obvious in taking the eye out of the picture  so it just emphasises  how important  the colour and tone  of background  can be to the images exhibited .
