My new project ...and another reason to be cheerful ...

Recommended Posts

I have been planning a project since early winter, using my wide angle  macro lens to capture   small plants and insects   in a contextual manner with some extra processing  and manipulation where necessary  and was waiting for  some of the  thousands of  spring  bulbs  to emerge, that I have planted  since September  along a  new woodland path that  I have made  and covered with  wood chippings from a lot of woodland pruning that we did in Autumn . I invested in large chipping machine that  does a great job in crushing and chipping  branches  up  to 40 mm diameter and the  bigger stuff we  chop  for  firewood  and store it  to dry for next winter . I may add  more textures when they seem appropriate   or bokeh overlays as I  took a number of  images  of various  parts of the garden in full  bloom last year  in manual  mode with wide open  lens and   out of focus to capture   stuff   to use  specifically for this  purpose .... hopefully it will work ...

I am struggling with squirrels, rabbits,  muntjac and mostly badgers digging up my bulbs ... I have 4 scarers out in strategically placed areas  and latterly have found that CAYENNE or CHILLI pepper are a  pretty good deterrent. So far I have used a kilogram bag of the stuff  in various spots  and across the threshold of  the drive where they are  getting access  !

I have had to resort to this as the  beggars take no flippin'  notice of the various signs that I have put up !   Keep off the grass.... Private  Garden. Trespassers will be shot !😂
