Life Happened!

Hello all, I'm Martyn from sunny Morecambe. I used to be a regular on here, but fate threw a spanner in the works a few years ago and life has never been the same. I'm now retired and spending too much money buying the camera gear that I couldn't afford while I was working. Hopefully I will be able to produce something worth showing. Have I missed anything while I've been away?

A very warm welcome back to the fold.... TIPF is still functioning much as it did in the past.... despite being completely wiped of the digital map, a few years ago.

It was resurrected, and has continued ever since, with a steady core membership..... I really look forward to see what you can do with your new gear.

Welcome back Martyn, there has been a few changes Phil has stepped back from the helm and myself and Clicker have taken over the day to day running of the site. We also lost one of our long standing and respected members quiite suddenly when Korky (Steve) passed away in Feb this year..

Ooh, wow!! Martyn, yes, I remember every minute of that day. I can't look back on photos atm because the discs and hard drives are all packed up!.

It is indeed St Patrick's chapel on the headland at Heysham.

I was hoping to go to Heysham for the Viking Festival but the Covid 19 has put a kybosh on it, which is a pity as I've enjoyed going the last few years.

Good grief, I can't believe it's over three years ago since I wrote this re-introduction post. Covid certainly put another spanner in the works for me, then a serious health issue put me out of action for over a year. The good news it that I married my nurse! I've got back into taking pictures again and hopefully will get around to posting some on here. Hoping I get to stay around a bit more this time!
