Hello Everybody

Hi everyone, i am Dennis, i have been photographing for most of my life, probably last 10yrs or so more seriously. But have been through a period of health problems which have stopped me getting out anywhere properly past 2 years. 2 knee arthroscopies and a new right hip later i am feeling better and need some motivation to get out with my camera again. I am 54 and have 3 kids who keep coming back home despite best efforts to relocate them. I also have a border terrier who is my mate. I shoot with the devil, i use a Sony nex-6 have been sony through dslr's of differing forms. But prefer the smaller camera. Never had a Nikon or Canon! Anyway that's me! Look forward to joining in and getting some help motivating me again. Feel free to crit anything i am not too sensitive and open to constructive advice.

Thanks for the welcome everyone, very warm. Annie my kids call me Dennyboy (2 step kids) rather than dad, so i will answer to that quite comfortably if it gets confusing with 2 dens going on! It's ok to call me that for everyone if it's easier.

Thanks Again all, Heather we put the house up for sale when we were down to one of em, unfortunately it was during the bad recession. everyone liked the house but cant afford it! then they all came back before we could stop them by having no space, they have got to leave eventually surely?..........I will be retired with 40+yr old kids still there! no i wont there will be a murrrrdddeerrrrr well before then!

My  kids have all come back at one time or another. One with three kids, another with one and the other with his partner and baby.

Then one of them came back again while selling her flat and buying a bungalow, so she could sell the flat as vacant possession for a quicker sale before buying her other place.

It's very quiet now with just us two and our two remaining ferrets, but I still really enjoy having them round.

It is nice to be able to do our own thing sometimes though.
