Lapwings in Flight

I've been after these in flight for some time but they are so boisterous that I found it quite difficult.  So much so that I couldn't follow them with a very long lens and ended up resorting to a 55-200mm.  Consequently the crop is quite severe and the quality could be better.  Best I've managed so far though.

They look okay to me, John.  
It's difficult to get the exposure right with black and white plumage but you've done a good job there.

Thanks Gareth, thanks Korbione.  One day I will get the shot I want.  The nice thing is that it will mean a few happy hours p on the fells.

We get Lapwings one Rye Meads now and again, never seen them though

I love lapwings, they're my favourite bird. Photos look good to me.

I must have missed these ... They look pretty good to me John ... Gosh they are difficult to catch though aren't they ... with that eratic flight pattern   ?....oops  nearly a typo there ...  Nice to see Charlotte sticking her head above the parapet ... I have tried to catch these too - they're so athletic, tracking them with a zoom is a real challenge. Yours look good to me.
