  4. Hi Geoff, In my 80 s now I get far too many of these calls, some very convincing. My Best Buy to deal with it to date, is the purchase of a set of BT CORDLESS PHONES All having a large central button with a cross on. You listen, to establish caller and message, if there is any doubt, push the button and the call is ended and that number blocked from calling again. you do, of course need to ensure that a genuine caller isn’t blocked.... But no bank or other finance company will phone you.....I ask anyone I’m not sure about, to confirm by letter.....not giving my details..... I have reduced dodgy calls using these phones. FUJI
  5. A fantastic and totally unexpected surprise .....thank you every one. FUJI
  6. Sorry Polly.......not for me...... Just a messy waste of time......probably good as a therapy though? FUJI
  7. Congratulations Korky........a real winner of a pic. one for the wall I think? FUJI
  8. Hi, John, My good lady had both done at the same time, because her and the surgeons rationalisation, only one period of recovery would be experienced..... this made sense, because, recovery from one means pretty well the same recovery period and experiences. yes! Like all foot/leg surgery it dies cause pain, but modern drugs and tea=eagmdnts keep it to a minimum....Yes! You will be off your feet for 3 months, but you would with one done anyway. the ironic thing in our case was....that after looking after my wife for three or more months, I fell on my sons stairs and broke both legs....so the tables were turned....I was the one requiring care. Our 15 year old granddaughter has a genetic problem, that twists her skeleton and joints.... she recovered from major spinal surgery less than a year ago....she is currently in her final month if recovery from her lates foot/ankle surgery....very similar to bunion problems..... She returned to school two weeks ago, and has the cast off next Wednesday. Bite the bullet and get them done, especially if you are in real discomfort currently. But always consult those who know first.... FUJI
  9. WOW! A fantastic surprise for a wet, blowy Monday morning....I think you can tell, that I am loving this lens/camera set up. It has re-kindled my interest in the small world so often forgotten or ignored. FUJI

An incredible shot, beautifully crafted. Congratulations BP. FUJI
  11. As an almost 82 year old, I can rationalise both sides of this sad, rather poignant thread..... As oldies, we have no choice but to continue life as normally as possible within our age related restrictions; personally I rejoice in the fact that I have reached an age far beyond that of my own, late, well loved parents and grandparents, so I wish for my life to be celebrated rather than mourned, whilst realising that this can’t be easy for those left behind. A life of over 80 years is one to be celebrated, to be remembered as positively as possible, through all the tears and emotional turmoil.....eventually all that will soothe to turn into fond memories. Each of us has a limited time on this Earth, nothing can change that.....which is why I attempt to fill every one of my remaining days keeping positive, thoughtful and helpful to others within my current capabilities. Below.... late Mam ......and.....Granny......both struggled through WWII to give me and my siblings the best start in life within their means....not forgetting Dad who was fighting for over 5 years and a Granddad who spent the war in the Daimler factory in Blitzed Coventry. TEMPUS FUGIT. Geoff , my thoughts are with you. FUJI
  12. The only choice this week .......Congratulations Roger. FUJI

  20. Hi, Polly, i am forever experimenting.....even more so since reading books by Shirley Trevena and other experimental watercolourists......just recently I have been completely bowled over by the thousands of sketches in the JMW Turner legacy.....( all available via the TATE online ). His use of colour was truly amazing for his place in artistic history...he was way ahead of his time. I an a regular user of cling-film, salt and any other method or media that makes a mark to liven thing up....it is all too easy to fall into the cute, wishy-wash’s style....I just love paining again and can finish one in a day, if properly motivated and not disturbed. I really do appreciate your interest in my work. I still take many photographs every day, but, have become more selective on which ones I keep.....I upgraded my iPad Pro last Monday.....the old one transferred over 5000 photographs, mostly mine but many on file for artistic research and interest. FUJI
  21. Congratulations ~Simon....a clear winner with this clever creation. FUJI
  22. Turner inspired watercolours of an all too familiar subject for me.....but not as I depict it here......... FUJI
