Hi all, I'm looking for some hints and tips if anybody can offer any to me. I've been interested in photography for a long while and studied it back in 2005 and gained a diploma in photography (Yay go me!) however spent a few years away from photography, I started again in 2015 and then had a bit of a break once again and I'm back again. I've not shot any people at all since 2005 when I did studio portraiture as my end of year project, now I'm back I'd like to get back into portraiture and am working with a local model next week who wants a beach themed photo shoot that we're both doing on a TFP basis. My issue is I'm a naturally shy person and I've not worked with a model for a long long time but I'm trying to get any tip[s on how best to pose her, ideas for shots, basically any help that anyone can give on how to build up a rapport with models would be a massive help! Does anybody have any hints and tips for me?

Well you asked for it, there's a few more on my Facebook page but this is pretty much my range of photos at the minute. Where I used to live I was literally 200yds from the perimeter fence of RAF Coningsby so planes became my favourite subject!

Hi all, just a quick one to say hello as suggested by Clicker. I'm not a newbie as such I was on here many moons ago under another guise (had a crash and forgot most of the little things including forum usernames so it seems!) my name is Russ and I'm originally from Nottingham but now living in Lincolnshire (Good old Skeggy!) and am more than likely going to need some advice from others as I've been away from photography for a couple of years now and certainly been away from photographing human folk!
