Yes in a fairly unmemorable landscape, the sky is the star.
-
Thoughtfully composed and very appealing.
-
Fine old boat - nicely captured.
-
Yes, you might have noticed that 13th century monks hadn't quite grasped the concept of the rule of thirds though, Polly.

We normally have zillions too but nothing doing so far. No slugs either. They are normally feasting on my hostas but the not so much as a nibble this year. Not much in the way of aphids either. And not a lot of squashed flies on my car number plate. It doesn't bode well.

On my way up t'north a couple of weeks ago I passed this fine old ruin. It's pretty atmospheric and I thought it lent itself to mono. I think some of the B&W shots look distinctly spooky but if course, there's no such thing as ghosts........are there?

Me too. The sky was superb yesterday.

Lovely work - bags of atmosphere, esp No 2. Makes you want to know what is lurking in the shadows.

Great memories there for me too. Wester Ross is my favourite part of the country (except in midgey season) . In addition to the stunning landscape work, you have captured some fine cloud formations too.

I have been intrigued by infrared photography for some time and finally got round to splashing out a few pounds on an IR filter. Have been amusing myself with weird colours but this monochrome shot is a bit more understated. 20 secs, F/8, ISO 250.

Let's hope when (fingers crossed) some sort of normality returns we will appreciate these moments more. I have booked a table for five in a perfectly ordinary, chips with everything, pub/restaurant with a great playground for my granddaughter (and me!) for May 24. You won't believe how excited I am about it.

Well composed shots of a striking location. Yvette's red top and the golden sunlit highlight around her hair in No 1 really draw your eye in.
-
That's one fine shot Karl - great work.

Deliciously crackers! ???
-
Lovely job, Polly.
-
What a magnificent creature - and superbly captured.
-
Great choice - lovely image.
-
Aw shucks - thanks very much.
-
Ha ha - a funmobile. Agree with the others - the last one is a beauty.

Stay At Home Challenge - Week 4
David995031 replied to Ryewolf's topic in The Stay At Home Challenge
It has two settings, one at 7 ps which is where I normally leave it but this sequence was at 10 ps - must remember to turn it back to seven! These were at 1/1000 of a sec. -
Stay At Home Challenge - Week 4
David995031 replied to Ryewolf's topic in The Stay At Home Challenge
As my daughter is in a key occupation (midwife) we get to look after our grand-daughter which helps keeps us sane. Here we are messing about with a ballon full of water and a pin on the end of a stick. -
The shortened word for the season most definitely crossed my mind but I thought a lot of people would go with that so I allowed myself to be a bit creative with the brief!

Well ain't this a stinker? As I see it I can either do a shot of a xylophone ........or I can cheat. And as I can't actually lay my hands on a xylophone at the moment my submission for this week, in anticipation of the big day, is........X is for Xpectation (so sue me).
