  1. Beautiful sight. What do they do with so many poppies?
  2. One of the harsh realities of rural life in Australia.
  3. Amazing technical skills to produce such an image. Well done.
  4. When I look at BPs photo of that pile of steaming manure I think fertiliser. Excellent!
  5. An ancient indigenous White Cypress growing in granite at Terrick Terrick National Park a short drive from home.
  6. Amazing story! I told my partner about your inability to get your truck unloaded and he sympathised. He’s been delivering rock to isolated sites where they are filling in irrigation channels & replacing them with underground pipes (an Australian govt initiative to save water lost through seepage & evaporation). He reckoned he’d rather be driving around the middle of nowhere with problems like “sneaky sheep” chewing up the plastic cabling for the water meters.
  7. The photos need to have been taken that week, yeah?
  8. I’ve always been fascinated to see artists working in their “studios” so I appreciate this photo of you painting: seeing how you hold your palette, the big brush and the other paraphernalia of your art.
  9. I may regret this but I’ll have a go.
  10. I failed uploading my photo. Something to do with managing my attachments.
  11. It’s Johns turn to choose theme for #146, yeah?
  12. Im interested in Sawangee who you refer to, Fuji. I couldn’t find any info about this person with a quick Google search.
  13. Love your image of a ewe with her twins sitting in a shady spot: a very English scene from my perspective. Well done.
  14. I’ve only just came across this thread and am so glad I did. I appreciate you sharing your silverpoint & water colour drawings & paintings, Fuji. Love your commitment to mastering the silver point techniques (which I have only the vaguest understanding of) and how you use your street photography portraits as starting points. it’s great to see the photo and the drawing that came from it. I hope you keep posting as it’s fascinating.
  15. Congratulations Rick. I so feel the peace when I look at your photo of a sleeping baby. There is nothing so welcome at times. I think I fell down on my duties in closing the voting in a timely way. I should have closed it yesterday at midday (Australian Standard time) but was out. By the time I got home it was midnight. Thank you to the staff who picked up on the late vote and announced the winner. If I get another at it, I'll pre-set the closing day/time to save the confusion. Good idea to add this to the rules for us new at setting the voting up. Please clarify one thing that confuses me here is Australia. when I set the closing time, will it automatically be right for you all in the UK?
  16. Entries closed. Gotta pop out so will set up voting shortly.
