  1. We have probably all belonged to clubs and groups at some point. I know in my experiences that people are drawn to others by similar traits and interests. In one such group (non camera related) what was known as 'the clique' of the group actually viewed the rest of us as...the clique! I would hate to join a camera club, I dont think I could think of anything more 'competetive' to join other than a sporting club of some type. I'm happy to learn through a friendly medium such as this, we can 'compete' to some level through the POTW and the monthly theme. I'm with fuji on the P breaks and T breaks, and BP's view on clubs also made me smile
  2. The stretch of the River Stort from Parndon Mill to Hunsdon Lock, a great river walk with narrowboats and ancient Lammas system water meadows either side. lots of wildlife, and on my doorstep. Hunsdon Lock featured in this image in the link below. The nearest I have ever got to achieving something approaching Bills standard.... http://www.tipf.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=1025&hl=%2Bhunsdon+%2Block
  3. We had another high wind night here on the Herts/Essex border, a few trees down and the neighbours new fence, that he replaced a few days ago after the last lot, is...down again!
  4. Hello Graham, and welcome. Norfolk, if there was a god, then this is his county All me forebears were from 'Narfulk'
  5. Likewise, I have watched an hour and ten minutes so far, It certainly makes you think!

    looking back.

I am beginning to understand that because I think 99% of my images are crap, it does not necessarily mean they are! Looking through your stream, I can only agree with David and say you are too critical of yourself mate. There are many excellent shots on there that I would only be too happy to have taken myself. I have only had a dslr for fifteen months or so. Before that I had a Nikon L120 Bridge for a few months . Photographs then meant snaps to me, I think I have progressed a bit, and this forum has been immensely helpful in achieving that progress. Rome wasnt built in a day and I will be learning stuff for an awful long time yet. Thanks for sharing the stream!

  15. I upgraded a couple of nights ago, but can only do very basic stuff with it. Despite all of the so called tutorials on youtube, I have no understanding of what I am doing with it!
  16. An interesting video fuji At the end it said three encounters resulted in police action, I wonder what happened in those instances?
