  1. I'm dreaming of the ability to capture a picture like that!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
  2. Hello Tom, I'm the newbee and the freshy. So you are in good company. They are being very kind to me so far. Welcome
  3. I love these pictures. But the visa board is a bit of a shame. Brightbear.
  4. The video was really worth watching Fuji many thanks.
  5. Thank you everybody. This has been very thought provoking. I'm refreshing my stock of cards in my wallet, and I'm going to be a bit more brazen, I think that urban photography is something that I will enjoy too. I live at Canary Wharf in London where they enjoy fabricating the myth that the whole area is 'private property' so no doubt I will at some point get similar reactions to Fuji from the security guards dressed as policeman on the Isle of Dogs. Tarlok
  6. Hello Everyone, I'm after some advice around legalities here. The night I took the 'man on the station' picture, I also took a really nice shot of a guy wearing two hats - a wool hat with a bike hat over it. He looked really interesting. I asked his position, showed him the shot, he loved it, and asked me if I would send it to him. I agreed to do that, and gave him my card. Yesterday I received a call from the same fellow and there was a woman screaming in the background. I suspect the poor fellow has some personal problems - e.g.. immigration - and he begged me to delete the photo and to promise that I wouldn't post it anywhere on the net. He told me his wife was very upset with him for allowing me to take the picture. I of course agreed that I wouldn't post it. But in truth it was luck that I chose the other photo from the bunch I had taken. What's the expected code? is everybody fair game? What are other people's thoughts on this please as being in London there's plenty of interesting humanity, and I don't want to run into problems. Many thanks Tarlok.
  7. Hello again everybody. Thank you so much for your welcomes and kindness. My 'real' name is Tarlok Singh, it is my baptised Sikh name, and that which I use on a daily basis. Dad gave me a Coolpix P510 which I used for three weeks in Australia whilst visiting him. I'm experimenting with the settings but it's likely to take some time to understand what I should be doing. Thanks to you all again. Tarlok Singh.
  8. I thought I would introduce myself. I am Brightbear: A total photography newbe having just received a camera from my father for my birthday. I have to say that really don't know what I am doing yet, but I'm really keen to get going. Everyone's photos look very beautiful on TIPF so I can only live in hope at this stage. A big shout-out to Kobione who introduced me to the forum.
  9. Thank you Phil. I'm a photography newbe and Kobione recommended that I join. I went to her house the other day and she showed me all the wonderful things that she has been up to. I found it inspirational, and, well, here I am!

  10. Welcome to the forums Brightbear :)
