Thank you Fogey. I didnt even plan this i was on way to Jacobs ladder with my staffie for a days hiking and stopped off as daylight approached didnt even have my full frame camere this was on a 7D2 and 17-40mmf4L

What a fabulous moment that must have felt like Monkey ... So glad you had a camera with you  as these moments need to be shared . That sky looks like it is on fire and I can understand your sentiments about the photo  not doing the  live image justice ..... sometimes nothing compares with " being there " does it ?

A great image Mark, I've seen sunsets like this. Always good to have any camera with you when you go out.

Brilliant colour in the sky. Well captured. Would have been glorious and so momentary, it’s easy to miss the shot if you muck around with the camera settings.
