My son is a member of the D Day Dodgers, a WW2 re-enactment group.   We took him away to WarAg in Somerset for a weekend of skirmishes meeting up with hundreds of other re-enactors from around the country.  A brilliant weekend and highly recommended, even if, like me, you have little interest in the military.

Unfortunately there was a small incident involving being thrown out the back of a troop carrier and falling 7ft to the ground followed by a short trip to minor injuries!  😉  Thankfully just some bumps and bruising.

Wow, I’d love to attend that event. Great photos. I hope your son is ok (if I understand correctly that he was the one hurt).

Thanks, yeah it was my son who got hurt. He was the last soldier on the back of a troop carrier going into a skirmish. As it stopped the tail gate failed and dropped open, taking him with it.  He's fine, was more shaken up than anything, the staff were brilliant looking after him. 😀

I think it's a great way to learn about our history  and hats off to your son  for being involmnved in bringing our  past to life. Glad to hear he is ok after his  accident .... still it maybe made things feel even more realistic eh ...  Great  pics capturing the feel of it all .
