Two lovely shots Paul ... at last  we are seeing a few butterflies in the gardens .... there seems to have been very few  so  far this year .... another worrying aspect  of the balance of nature being affected by us not always protecting their habitat sufficiently . Terrific isolation of the subject and detail of the wing texture and  proboscis  cannot be understated as  these creatures hardly stay still long enough for you to blink  ...so    kudos  for that Paul too!

Thanks  again Polly  - like a lot of us - seeing butterflies so far this year is harder - they do seem fewer than usual.
