Hello all from a Manchester.

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

I thought it would be good to introduce myself. My names David but most people call me Diggy, I'm from Manchester, UK I'm 33 and I'm a computer technician.

I've been interested in photography for a longtime, I've only in the last few years started to learn and to take photos without using auto mode. My first DSLR was a Nikon D40. I really liked it but wasn't a fan of it's size for what I need. I don't get the chance to go out and shoot all that often as work gets in the way. I sold my D40 and purchased a Nikon V1 which I absolutely love as I take it everywhere. I have a backpack which I use everyday and my camera now fits in there nice and safe and accessible then ever I need it.

I'm hoping to make some friends here and learn from some stuff to. Like I said I don't get much time to go out and shoot but I do now have 5 day old daughter so I'm sure I'll have plenty of photo ops in the coming years :)

I've attached some of my images too so you can all have a look and give you opinion.

Hi, Diggy,

A very warm welcome to the TIPF community, looking at your excellent first post, I can see you fitting in immediately........the mono conversion and processing in the first shot is first class.

( Love your Avatar too ;-)

Welcome Diggy - those two images are quite something! Good job, I find it hard to choose but probably the panorama just has the edge for me. :)

Meanwhile I'm watching your boys taking on Barcelona and hoping they win ... I must say Pellegrini seems to have forged a very Barcelona-like style of play.  :flower:

Hi Diggy and Welcome. I came on here to have a look about 18 months or so ago, and I'm still here so it has to be one of the friendliest forums on the net.
That's a sweet little model you have and I'm    sure you will have plenty of nice pictures of her, but you can never have enough, so keep shooting.
I haven't been able to get out properly for a while so haven't posted either, but there is always someone around to have a natter with.
