STRAIGHT OUT OF THE BOX

Recommended Posts

The Panasonic LUMIX GX9 is indeed a remarkable camera......it promises excellent JPEG results in mono, straight out of the box so to speak.

Not quite in this instance .... I have done a couple of crops.... a tad of adjustments on sliders, then a sharpen to suit each subject, done in PIXELMATOR Photo on my iPad Pro.

I am very impressed by these first-try results....

Frustratingly not the ...Street Studies....I was hoping to get, but rain, rain and more rain has stopped play....so it was hunt fir subjects in and around the house and garden.

All shot through, vintage film camera lenses.... from ...Jupiter.... Industar....and Karl Zeiss

Thank you M.....

It’s a few weeks now, since I posted this.... your feedback is very valuable to me....

You will see from all my later posts that the camera set to that special ...M-MONOCHROME-L setting has become my favoured genre now.

iI do use my GX8 set on its usual colour mode... I take that I’m my Dawn walk every morning.....

The large mono JPEGS from the GX9 require little doing to them except ...a straighten, a crop, or a tad of targeted sharpening... I use AFINITY PHOTO...and ...PIXELMATOR PHOTO ....on my iPad Pro for any editing.

I agree with Monomania ... the second still life is  excellent Fooj .. a real belter ........Glad to see you  taking on new challenges  so  readily in this technological world.. So many people  in their senior years  are afraid of doing that  so I do admire  your get up and go over things that you research and learn from the fantastic tool that the internet  gives us ... Not everyone drawing a pension sees the value that it can have to enhance our whole lives ...   hats off to ya !

Thanks Dee.....

your observations and comments very welcome....

Since I posted this just after acquiring the camera, it is pretty well my main set-up now.

My GX7 set your shoot RAW colour files is used just for my Dawn walks.
