Another play day........

Nice warm weather today so I had time for another play. Looking for bugs, (not bugmeister!!) and butterflies. Didn't do too bad. Things are obviously just on the move. First a Hover Fly:

Then a busy, buzzy bee:

A goodness knows what, but he was well armoured, and wouldn't stay still!!:

A nosy little Bushfly:

An Australian Admiral who said "Shan't" and refused to open his wings:

This was the best I got of his colours a couple of minutes later:

Another bug, as yet unidentified:

And a Crab Spider, latched on to lunch:

All in all a fun day :D

Thank you all so much. I really enjoyed my day and was glad I came out with more than one shot that was worthwhile putting on here. Hopefully we will have more 'buggy' movement as the season moves on, so I'll be out there again. H,mmm probably a deluge of flower shots too, while things look good!

A great set Kobione - the unknown insect looks like a parasite wasp of some sort - despite my love of photographing insects, I'm not an entimologist sadly. Love the spoider too - they are amongst my favourite subjects.

Thank you, Paul. I am nowhere near your technical expertise, but I do have fun. Yes, it was a wasp of some type, and I'm guessing we will be seeing more.

We have a heap of these little spiders emerging, usually on flowers that have the same background colour, so they can be difficult to spot. I may be able to entertain you as the weather warms up with some more spider pictures - of bigger things!! :D

Yes, Fuji, you are right. We have nowhere like hit our peak temps as yet, and there is still quite a bit of moisture in the ground, so lots of things are 'on the move' and taking advantage of the lushness that Nature is currently providing, and that is running parallel to what you are experiencing over there as your Autumn approaches. Our temps are forecast at mid 20's for the next couple of weeks, but there is no telling when we will zoom up to over 30deg, and then the 'Summer scene' sets in. That will mean fading, wilting flowers, birds looking for water, and just lizards and snakes on the move!! We are enjoying our current weather and it's good for getting outside and being active - although I can see quite a bit of mowing at home ahead of us!
