Derwentwater

I had a brain malfunction on Monday evening, and set off for the lakes at 7.30pm - had a look at Bassenthwaite, but there were too many people for my liking (I may be a miserable so and so!) and ended up, as the light died, at Derwentwater's most famous jetty.

Took some snaps, watched the bats hunting and the fish jumping and was casually eaten alive by the midges :-)

Thanks.  The shot I really wanted is a longer shot of the blue one, but there was a heath robinson floating crane moored beside the jetty, and an absolutely hanging tractor parked against the boards on the beach.

To be honest its a lovely place to be at half past eleven/midnight on a Monday night, with or without a camera

BP - Thats why I went to Bassenthwaite first, I guess I hit dog walking time :-)

An EXTRA ....WELL DONE!......from me because with your first frame you have clearly demonstrated that you can still create a wonderful photograph af what has become a photographic cliche just like that bloomin' lone tree ont' Moors.

Your Blue shot is perfection.
