I prefer # 2 Rye, 1 is rather good, but strangely enough the wind turbines make the second picture more ....interesting? for me

Thanks Denis, we have a lot of wind turbines up here, many people don't like them but they are now a feature of the landscape..

A  hint of crepuscular rays also  adds to the interest in the second image for me  but the first has much merit too...  with  more detail captured in the foreground ... the second image has much silhouetted as you turned toward that setting sun .. nice that you are getting around to processing stuff from last year ... that OADED challenge has a lot to answer for ... I still have so much to edit and catalogue ...arghhhh

Thanks Clicker, yes, I'm upto Sept 2017, but still got 2016 to look at. I've not been anywhere near as busy with my camera this year.
