To be honest I was mostly looking for something for the 52 Project which is themed as 'Straight Out Of Camera',

This is the way I'm trying to shoot with the X100T. I want to think more in terms of just shooting what I see with one lens and a camera with simple controls.....I have even switched off raw recording.
I do sometimes hit the AUTO button in Lr but thats no different to a processing lab correcting negs when printing.

My mission today is to try and figure out why the clock has stopped!

Although, I'm guessing the amount of dust on the movement could have something to do with it

A quick blast with a pressure washer'll sort that no problem

Today, whilst mostly working until 17:45, I did manage a few hours out. To be honest I was mostly looking for something for the 52 Project which is themed as 'Straight Out Of Camera', so I was back thinking the way I took photo's using a film camera, yes I could tweak them in the darkroom using dodge and burning and whatnot.

So whilst I did crop this image there was no other tweaking, I used a graduated ND filter and in camera settings to capture this...

That's very nice.  I can feel the fresh air.

Went up to Foulshaw Moss today in the hope of capturing some shots of the Ospreys that are nesting up there again this year.   Sadly I hadn't realised that the WEB site didn't make it clear that the nest is about a mile away from the nearest viewing platform.  No chance, so I changed lenses and went in search of something else.

Dancing Cheek to Cheek (Small Whites)

Male Common Blue Damselfly (I think).  From memory, only the females are blue.  Nope.  Female Common Darter.

No idea what this is or was, but I was amazed at how it was still able flit about despite the obvious carnage.

Sorry for the inactivity, haven't been hardly anywhere out of the house. David has a wound on his foot that is refusing to heal so we have to be very careful, and all we have done is go to appointments.

Did get out for a few minutes yesterday and as we drove away from home a nice cloud was in the perfect spot:

Then we had some very nice sunset light which I got from the lounge window and the back door:

May get out again today, we'll see.

Just a snap of the gate guard at the airfield where my truck is based, it looked good in the morning light yesterday....It is painted in the markings of Squadron Leader Tom Neil who flew during the Battle Of Britain with 56 Squadron from this airfield, and who sadly passed away last week at the age of 96.
