Found this site by accident looking for something else some time ago.  It looked attractive - particularly well organised and active - so I popped a link into my Favourites file which I then found by accident looking for something else the other day.  I live in Preston and see that I am not alone in that respect.  Been interested in Photography most of my life.  Like so many, early interest (mono and darkroom) was curtailed as a career took over but retirement re launched my interest into the digital age.  I like all photography and so master of none.  I'm a Fuji user having abandoned a longish association with Nikon.  I'm looking forward to joining in.

Another Fuji  nut ...;) welcome John2... glad you've made the decision to join us ... Tell us a bit more about yourself ... you'll find a good few Lancastrians on here ...or at least people who live there now ...  we are a social bunch whose hobby and love of photography  binds us in the first instance . And sometimes other things do too . Make yourself at home .. chat and when you're ready,  post a few pics  We all help and learn from each other  so if you have any problems navigating around the place ... just yell. There's always someone here ready to lend a hand ...

Thanks all for the welcome.  I liked what I saw on this site and so I'm looking forward to being here.

Not much more to say Clicker.  I'm married to a very patient wife who isn't a photographer but puts up with my passion (photographic that is).  She s a ceramic artist in her own way.  She exhibits and sells but is not commercial. Good enough though to have been selected for inclusion in an ongoing ceramic workshop that runs at the University of Lancs. (UCLAN).  I carry a camera when I'm out as a matter course just in case and so my output is fairly all embracing.  If I have a leaning these days it's towards wildlife when the opportunity presents itself and I have the time to sit and wait.

fuzzy, I use an X-T2 with various lenses and have recently upgraded from an X70 to an X100F as a carry all.  Couldn't get on without a VF in bright light when I had the X70 although it produced some excellent results.  I'm sold on mirrorless because what you see in the EVF is what you get much more than with an DSLR and because of the weight/space advantage.

Well there are a few of us in the Fujifamily ... I'm an X-T2er too ... absolutely love it  and the lenses  and have a member on here to thank for advising me  when I was looking to  change my  camera .   Looks to me like you'll find yourself at home here pretty quickly ....  it a very sociable place  and people like to share their methods and ideas if asked ... so you won't find anyone ( that I know of ) who is  precious or selfish when it comes to sharing  their skills etc  ... so onward , onward to your 30th post when you can then edit all the faux pas' one usually makes  finding their way around .....;)

You can say that again Clicker.

Thanks Korky.  Is the X30 your main camera.  It produces some astonishing results for a smaller sensor.
