POTW 483 w/e 20 Nov 2016

A quiet week, but, I have seen some images that I have really enjoyed. Barbara posted a beautiful autumnal scene in the 52 project. Denis posted a lovely shot of a cheeky robin in the branches. And then Colin came along with this cracking night time scene. It really hit the spot for me with some wonderful colours all reflected in the water against a deep black which really enhances the colours. It has a nice clarity and a really good white balance. And this has to be my choice for the week. Nice work colinb.

Thank you Kev and all who commented, I never really expected the POTW as there have been some great pictures this week so this is a special surprise. As for the clarity - Friday was a wonderfully clear, if a little cold, evening, one where you really want to get out with your camera.

A very worthy winner ...a great choice Kev ...  I reckon you' d have had a double whammy if you'd entered it it the weekly comp too Colin .. A real quality image  ...

Great picture Colin,  I lived in Lincoln for 14 years and saw how the Brayford area developed,  I always remember seeing the cathedral as you drive up the A46 and think I am home :)

There were those who thought all the neon on the Brayford made it very blue and detracted from the view but I think your picture shows how modern and old can live together and become one image of beauty.
