I think some of these are  from John's archives Denis .... nevertheless I am as pleased as everyone else that  he is posting them ...   It would be criminal to have these just sitting on a hard drive somewhere in Ledbury ... Another great set John....you may have started a Dragonfly club on here !!

Yes Polly!  They are from my archives. I really need some new stuff but as you know I've been busy for months. I'm going to keep my eye on the weather forecast for Thursday, it's my 70th birthday and if the weather is good with high pressure in charge I might go and stick my nose into Haugh Wood. I won't go unless I'm sure there will plenty of sunshine to bring out the critters. I doubt I would have as much success as previous visits due to the lousy start to summer which may have reduced the numbers of butterflies etc.

I will keep everything crossed for both of us then. Did you see the info in my Emperor Dragonfly in flight post about photographing them when flying, not that I'm an expert... just plain lucky I reckon to get that shot.

Yes ... Very helpful information there John ..... Lucky?......I  think a very famous Golfer  once said, after getting a hole in one, that the liklihood of being that   lucky was directly related to the amount of hard work and practice  one does !
