In winter here in Northern Victoria,spoonbills are often seen around the waterways. This pair were perched high in a dead tree in the lagoon just on sunset.

Thank you for the positive feedback on my first post and warm welcome. You're right in the assumption that Brian knows me and is not clairvoyant (as far as I can tell). Brian actually introduced me to the TIPF. I will add some more info to the Welcome Forum (if I can work out how to do that). Warmly Cheryl

Hi Cheryl... Click on Forums ...top left ...then scroll down to General Forums  Click on the Welcome  centre  and then  start a new topic by clicking on START NEW TOPIC on the right ... Give the topic a title ...eg  Another Aussie sayin' G'day  and then write in the dialogue box below that , ...scroll down to hit submit  to post  ... It usually takes 30 posts before you earn the right to edit ..ie put right spelling mistakes etc  so double check before you post at first ...  Here's a link to the  welcome forum in case you have trouble navigating around the site to start with ... Just checked it out on a big screen as opposed to the small iPad that I initially viewed it on and have to agree Kev .., it's a very nice image indeed. Nice stuff Cheryl....

Just the little bit of chromatic aberration on the bottom branch to remove to really put the icing on the cake. Impressive stuff.
