Somwhere different today....

Went out this morning for a cruise to visit a spot about 30 minutes away from home that seemed to have some interesting history, and it has. What is there is the Noojee Trestle bridge, built to cross over a steep narrow valley as a rail bridge and very interesting.

This one was taken from where I parked, the hill was so steep it was hard to get in a spot that got the bridge looking straight vertically.

We. me Kelly & Brodie, walked under the bridge and then up the hill on the other side on a gravel path - very steep and a bit tricky, but it took you to the top without having to use all those steps on the right in the previous picture.

This is looking across the bridge and I have left the view of my car in the carpark in this and the next one just to give a bit of perspective as to size and height.

We then walked across the bridge and I took this one looking down from the centre.

Got to the other side ok, although Brodie was a bit reluctant on the  floor planks.

The we followed the trail back down to the carpark - Brodie saying 'What! Down there!'

Down at the bottom again and some nice moss on the old posts.

A place to visit again methinks.

WOW! Dee....and to think, it’s not that long since you had your hip done?

I really admire your spirit ....

You take care now....that moss looked slippery..... it might be good to find a walking companion....?

Thank you all - unfortunately I haven't done much since then because Kelly became sickly that afternoon and kept me up until 3.00am, frequently having to pop outside and pass something. Took her to the vets next day and she is over it now after living on chicken and brown rice. Guessing it was something she picked up while we were walking there, but over it now.
