Nice view Strav, I never got to Milford Sound because my rellies live near Blenheim towards the north of the South Island, but I have done the Queen Charlotte Sound a couple of times and you do get nice views similar to this.

Its an amazing area, we got there early in the morning (set off about 5 am as I remember) and it was quiet when we arrived.  After a 3 hour boat tour we arrived back at the terminal around midday to find loads and loads of coaches and the terminal was packed out.  If you ever get the chance to go there ..... go early
