  1. You did pretty well, we sometimes struggle to get a single good pic of our own cat!
  2. I thought it was when there were several images uploaded to the same post - i.e. 5 or 6 perhaps? Thought it was Fogey who was having the issue...
  3. I assume the MF is on a string? 2 out of 3 interested, but not the one on the left! Paul.
  4. There's a vampire here.... Paul.
  5. eulophus.mp4 YouTube Video I found these on a caterpillar. Nature being nature, I doubt this one will pupate... Paul.
  6. Raptors in the wild are wonderful to see. Paul.
  7. Thanks Cheryl - it was resting I'd say - there was no food on the leaf, the darker patch in #1 is I think a small droplet of rain water that hadn't evaporated away - it seems to be refracting the bush I reckon. Paul.
  8. Hehehe, to me I sound trashy, common as muck, and proper Lancashire lad, lol... but thank you ever so much - that's a really nice thing to say x
  9. No, I used to have one, but moved to a (budget Yongnuo) twin-flash unit bought for me by the family. Paul.
  10. Paul

    Cicadella

It's a froghopper - they leap in much the same way, though not related. Paul.
  11. Someone suggested the "carcass" is a wasp of some kind. I've no real idea really, except it was wrapped like a kebab! Paul.
  12. Nice effect - subtle colour range that compliments each other. Paul.
  13. Lovers! Maybe we will one day see a cub.... Paul.
  14. Nice one Jon. I once had to wait for people on a statue photo, so I took about 4, then in layers in PS, erased each person! Paul.
  15. I was just gonna ask which filter! Worked nicely. Paul.
  16. That's a well exposed photo - not much digital noise in the night sky, so kudos Cheryl. Paul.
  17. Classic studio shot, lighting is good all round, well done. Paul.
  18. Hehehe, ento-paul.... Thanks Polly. Paul.
  19. This is probably the same ladybird that I found the other night - but I can't be sure, but it's a distinct possibility. I'm wondering today though, if it is a female, or not... There are a few subtle differences to distinguish between a male and female ladybird (not counting the obvious) - which include the anterior coxal spots, longer antennae (in some species) prominent bands between body segments, and more. I read somewhere that another is the eyes of the males have white markings between them whereas females don't. I'm not an entomologist so I could be wrong... If the last statement is correct, then we are seeing a male here... Paul.
  20. Thanks Polly - it's the see-throughness in that last image that surprised me a bit! Paul.
