Easy Denis - by using a fake sky and badly blending the two images you have lost most of the prop blur and the wire lines on the far Dakota. This makes me question if the whole image is fake. Personally I think the original image works fine but weather seldom helps out at airshows and there is nothing wrong in adding a little sky detail behind the planes. But please consider the overall effect, just because you can doesn't mean you should.

Denis I think I would prefer to see the original, hate to be critical but they wouldn't fly this close together and the lighting is wrong for the sky you've used.

No Denis - they fitted a stent via my arm, although I do still suffer with my arm if I stretch out.

New Years day 2021 I was discharged from hospital after having heart surgery below are a few photos I shot at the recent training session in solving the Fire service, NHS and Emergency Services as a way of saying thank you for without these people many of us many not be here. May you all have a safe and happy 2022

Happy NewYear to you too Kobione

I've no idea Rye - first appeared last spring, stayed around for a couple of months then disappeared until a couple of weeks ago. Seems to get on well with all the other more common ducks and although I'm shooting from the river bank over other side it is content to sit and pose. I was hoping he would go for a swim but he was reluctant to leave his 'friend' (the wooden post).

Taken on the River Sle around 5mins from our home. A colourful character that first appeared this spring and has now returned maybe for the winter?

Hi Steve - I used a tripod for most of these shots, flash wasn't really an option with all the reflective clothing and usually ends up giving more problems than it solves. Having said that I wished I had taken my ring flash which can be left 'on' at a lower setting. I used a Sigma Art 18-35mm f/1.8 (pictures shot around f/2.8) which handled the dark/light really well (trust me it was a lot darker than it appears). Thank you Rye

I was recently invited to a training Evening with the Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue Service, the 8 photos below where taken at this event. The lighting was a challenge as I prefer to use the 'ambient' light rather than spoil the scene using flash. Given free rein to go where I chose, hard hat, safety boots and a Hi Viz vest was a must. I'll post another set at some point that shows mainly the people rather than the vehicles as here. All comments welcome.

Not a fan of the cropped version but the top picture is spot on

Sorry I'm a little late to the party... The original seating was removed years ago and these chairs are also often removed and the space left open for various events. Personally I dislike the blooming' things and prefer the view without.

Part 1 was so good I just had to look at Part 2

Crikey... that all works rather well

and is he still your friend? I think it is very nice Denis, I would pull the yellow back a little but I can live with that as it is. I would love to have a go with processing the raw file.

Nice sky - very similar to we have here on the plains of Lincolnshire
