  1. Something a little different, one of my work pictures that really needs viewing large but you are getting 3 windows. Ok you could argue 1 window a set of bi-fold and an atrium but hey they all have glass in them.

    POTW w.e. 19-02-17

Slightly late due to me picking illegible picture, sorry Leon cracking pic but just out of date. So... This weeks POTW will go to Polly with her 'Midnight Snack' a digitally manipulated, almost good enough to eat -yum. Original thread can be found HERE
  3. Lord Alfred Tennyson poet laureate born in Somersby, Lincolnshire

  6. Steve I would love to try it, I can't find anyone local to borrow off and would like to try before purchasing my own. If you are serious and sure about it - no pressure!

    Lens woes

Denis - keep your cash in the bank and wait until you can get a deal on... http://www.wexphotographic.com/buy-sigma-150-600mm-f5-6-3-contemporary-dg-os-hsm-lens-with-1-4x-teleconverter-nikon-fit/p1595026 ...with out the converter
  9. Wisbech - well thats almost Lincolnshire so you not that deep and dark
  10. 5 Grand ...if only. Well it would start a serious conversation with myself as to go full frame or stick with aps-c. I think it would be the Nikon D500 (£1700) so near to a full frame camera but would enable me to keep my existing lens collection and would leave money to buy a longer lens and a good low light zoom too. ...oh well dream over back to work. http://www.techradar.com/reviews/cameras-and-camcorders/cameras/digital-slrs-hybrids/nikon-d500-1312621/review
  11. Welcome aboard - so where/which darkest corner are you in?
  12. Send me one as well Polly, I had an image all planned out but the rain last weekend prevented me and then I forgot to sort a substitute.

    POTW w.e. 15/01/17

What a cracking start to the new year with some wonderful images. Phil with 'Bank Walk' and Danny with "Swans in the Mist" made it a difficult choice for the POTW but I had to choose this particular image from BP's squirrel set. I think it is always good to try something new and this set was quite different to the usual BP image - all good- all well taken, but the expression sold this one to me. Well done BP and top marks for braving the weather too. Original set HERE

    Lights on

You might not think it but you are supposed to do that in the UK too, although it often appears folk get the headlight switch mixed up with the rear fog lights
  15. Great stuff Polly - rather than all of us sending off emails I think I will wait and see if you get a reply
  16. The name of the guy who used to post pictures of apes shot behind glass at his local zoo? I don't think he has been in for a while, just curious to see how he has moved on as the images he created were quite stunning.
  17. Yes Fuji, every time I see a D500 just not sure I could eat bread an cheese for that long.
  18. I remembered the picture, forgot about the vote!
  19. 'Clean My Own Sensor' - the New Years resolution for TIPF members ???
